Nancy Giunta is an as Associate Professor at the
Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York.
She is a John A. Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholar and directs Silberman Aging, a Hartford Center of Excellence in Diverse Aging.
Her research interests include aging and community, long term care policy, home and community-based service systems, and collaborative interventions
to meet the needs of underserved and marginalized elders.
She has served as facilitator of the CPFOA Staying Connected Network,
formed to support teaching and learning among 15 community partnerships
originally funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's
Community Partnerships for Older Adults national program.
Dr. Giunta received her M.S.W.
and Ph.D. degrees from the
University of California, Berkeley School of Social Welfare.
Her dissertation research was on the implementation of federal caregiver support policy.
